It's been a busy week! Last Thursday I was supposed to start working for F1, but because of my MacroEcons supplementary paper (which was quite easy, thank goodness), I couldn't work that day. I officially started on Friday in the kitchen. That day was like the worst day out of all because we didn't do much, quite shitty. Saturday and Sunday was awesome because 2 of us - Clarabel and I - got transferred to the VIP area which we were supposed to be at~ We were making crepes! But I had to run around different areas on Sunday because of a change of job allocation... It was really tiring. I went home with swollen feet and even up till now, my feet is still quite swollen. But it was a really awesome experience, working with really fun people, made new friends, etc. I'm so going back to work again for this next year!! And also gonna make sure I get comfortable shoes instead of wearing stupid and very uncomfortable pair of Cotton On flats when I'm gonna stand for at least 10 hours.. Hopefully I get to serve instead of doing kitchen next year!!
Today, I went for the preview of the movie 1911 with my mum. It's Jackie Chan's 100th movie in his career. It's a movie about the Chinese revolution which happened a 100 years ago when China changed it's governing system and stuff. I teared up seeing how the people were willing to sacrifice their lives to help make changes to the country. It made me love Chinese history even more and made me wanna find out more. But I think people of my generation wouldn't like such movies... They would probably prefer Western history... My mum told me that she learnt about these during history lessons in primary school during her time. History lessons only begin when we're in secondary school nowadays and we learn mostly about European/American history, only pure History students get to learn about Asian history :( Okay I'm starting to miss studying for humanities LOL.
Anyway, even though it's the holidays now, for some reason I don't feel like it's a holiday. I'm still so busy and I have something on almost every day. On a happier note, I'm getting my iPhone in a few hours time~ Yipee!~ :)
